The Ancient Wisdom of our Gut Instincts.
Love is not the loudest voice, rather it is a felt experience in the quiet ‘inner-knowings’ and subtle ‘pull’ within the ancient wisdom of our own bodies - our gut instincts. Our gut intelligence reconnect us to the earths rhythms and cycles beneath our feet, a powerful and sacred remembrance of our natural identities, where all life begins.
Love is like a river of water, it flows and moves through us, as pure life force ‘creation’ energy.
When we invest the time to be still and listen, we can feel its waves and currents deep in the cells of our body’s intelligence.
It is not loud, but the softest, subtlest intuition in our stomachs guiding us through a “felt” experience - an “inner-knowing” or “pull”.
It is also known as our “gut instinct”.
Our bodies, our guts, hold the ancient wisdom of the earth beneath our feet.
As a world, we have become so heavily dependent and reliant on technology and other artificial tools, that we have lost this intuitive connection with our bodies in place with the land.
Beyond the constructs of the mind, our bodies “know” - because we instinctively know the truth of what feels right, and not right, by the way it “feels”.
We need to restore this trust and dependency on our human sensory systems to guide and direct our knowledge and life decisions.
Our minds and emotions may confuse and mislead us, yet our gut instinct always knows.
While our gut instincts do not always make sense to our logical minds, it is because there is a greater language happening below the surface, in the intelligence of our bodies.
The majority of our communication is expressed through our body language, beyond our spoken word.
This is because the language of our bodies is connected with the primal, instinctual aspects of our identities; our soul’s connection with the land, and our base sense of survival.
In ancient cultures, this inner wisdom was a central aspect of life, tracing back to our hunter and gatherer ancestors, who used their gut instincts to hunt food, find water, shelter and stay safe from predators or other tribal threats.
Over time, however, this ancient form of wisdom has been repressed and severed through various means such as colonisation, the exploitation of our lands for profit, sexualisation of our bodies, as well as other forms of dominant social practices.
In modern times, higher social status, value and emphasis is placed more on logical, rational thought processes for global economic progression, rather than our intuitive, sensory knowings and feelings more in tune with nature - which is part of the reason why we are also witnessing the rapid destruction and deterioration of our natural environments.
Due to this level of repression and severance from our bodies and land, we may need to first move through a healing process of clearing past ancestral trauma, to clear our guts and be able to intuitively “feel” again.
This much is certain, however: returning to the inner wisdom of our bodies is not only necessary, but crucial for our survival.
